Splits Masterclass
Join me on November 24th for a splits masterclass where we will explore the foundations and intricacies of deep hip flexibility. All levels are welcome :) Whether you're a beginner or advanced practitioner, we'll build strength, flexibility, and confidence together.
We will go over all facets of the splits, including: active and passive stretches, progressions, alignment, and breath to calm the body in the position. Whether you already have your splits, or are just looking to gain a bit more flexibility, the drills featured in the workshop will help you mindfully deepen your practice.
Additionally, improving the mobility of your splits will assist in entry of more advanced yoga positions such as headstand, forearm stand, and handstand. The body works as a single unit, and skills that may seem unrelated can positively overlap. There will be time to practice your splits on the floor or in the air :)
What to expect:
A 70-minute yoga practice, designed to ease you into the workshop with gentle, flowing movements. We'll breathe, stretch, and prime the areas to be worked in the practice following, specifically the hips, hamstrings, and spine.
Following our yoga session, get ready to split! We will work on specific yet accessible drills to both stretch and strengthen the lower body, using props along to meet you at your current level. I will be there along the way to assist and cue you to ensure safe practice.
