2 Hour Yoga Workshop
Join me on February 2nd for a special two-hour yoga class. The first part of class will feature strong sequences designed to improve mobility and flexibility of the spine, and there will be space to practice deep backbends. Towards the end of class we will slow things down with a gentle restorative practice designed to calm the body and mind.
All levels are welcome :) Whether you're a beginner or advanced practitioner, we'll build strength, flexibility, and confidence together.
We will go over all facets of a safe backbending practice including: active and passive stretches, alignment, and breath to calm the body in the position. Whether you already enjoy practicing deep backbends, or are just looking to gain a bit more flexibility, the drills featured in the workshop will help you mindfully deepen your practice.
What to expect:
A 75-minute yoga practice, designed to build heat in the body and improve flexibility. The practice will be vinyasa in nature and will include postures to support a safe backbend, specifically those that target the spine, hips, upper back, and shoulders. I will be there along the way to assist and cue you to ensure safe practice.
Following our yoga session, we will conclude with a relaxing yin-style practice. With the help of props, and guided breath work, we will gently release tension from the body.
