2 Hour Yoga Workshop

Join me on February 2nd for a special two-hour yoga class. The first part of class will feature strong sequences designed to improve mobility and flexibility of the spine, and there will be space to practice deep backbends. Towards the end of class we will slow things down with a gentle restorative practice designed to calm the body and mind.

All levels are welcome :) Whether you're a beginner or advanced practitioner, we'll build strength, flexibility, and confidence together.

We will go over all facets of a safe backbending practice including: active and passive stretches, alignment, and breath to calm the body in the position. Whether you already enjoy practicing deep backbends, or are just looking to gain a bit more flexibility, the drills featured in the workshop will help you mindfully deepen your practice.

What to expect:

  • A 75-minute yoga practice, designed to build heat in the body and improve flexibility. The practice will be vinyasa in nature and will include postures to support a safe backbend, specifically those that target the spine, hips, upper back, and shoulders. I will be there along the way to assist and cue you to ensure safe practice.

  • Following our yoga session, we will conclude with a relaxing yin-style practice. With the help of props, and guided breath work, we will gently release tension from the body.

  • A supportive and encouraging community of like-minded curious individuals looking to improve.

Splits Masterclass

Join me on November 24th for a splits masterclass where we will explore the foundations and intricacies of deep hip flexibility. All levels are welcome :) Whether you're a beginner or advanced practitioner, we'll build strength, flexibility, and confidence together.

We will go over all facets of the splits, including: active and passive stretches, progressions, alignment, and breath to calm the body in the position. Whether you already have your splits, or are just looking to gain a bit more flexibility, the drills featured in the workshop will help you mindfully deepen your practice.

Additionally, improving the mobility of your splits will assist in entry of more advanced yoga positions such as headstand, forearm stand, and handstand. The body works as a single unit, and skills that may seem unrelated can positively overlap. There will be time to practice your splits on the floor or in the air :)

What to expect:

  • A 70-minute yoga practice, designed to ease you into the workshop with gentle, flowing movements. We'll breathe, stretch, and prime the areas to be worked in the practice following, specifically the hips, hamstrings, and spine.

  • Following our yoga session, get ready to split! We will work on specific yet accessible drills to both stretch and strengthen the lower body, using props along to meet you at your current level. I will be there along the way to assist and cue you to ensure safe practice.

  • A supportive and encouraging community of like-minded curious individuals looking to improve.

Join me for the third installment of the Arm Balances Workshop, where we'll explore the foundations and intricacies of balancing upside down! All levels are welcome, though a prior knowledge of chatarunga and headstand is a bonus! Whether you're a beginner or advanced practitioner, we'll build strength, balance, and confidence together.

We will go over all facets of these inversions, including: entry positions, managing weight on the hands, alignment, use of the wall, how to fall safely, and much more!

What to expect:

  • A 60-minute yoga practice, designed to ease you into the workshop with gentle, flowing movements. We'll breathe, stretch, and prime the areas to be worked in the practice following, specifically the shoulders, core, hips, and wrists.

  • Following our yoga session, get ready to go upside down! We will work on specific yet accessible drills to strengthen the upper body and improve balance on the hands. There will be time to practice crow pose and forearm stand, and I will be there along the way to assist and cue you to ensure safe practice.

If you are already comfortable with crow pose and forearm stand, there will be space to practice more advanced versions such as handstand.
